Gabriel VS Tatsuya! The Captains Clash!

Postby Duquin » Fri Nov 13, 2009 2:23 am

Tatsuya Noboru swipped his zanpakutou through the air discarding the blood that stained it as a shinigami fell to the ground before him, cold and lifeless, dead from a dead wound slicing into his body that cleaved a gaping wound in both his heart and lungs, "Tch.." Tatsuya sheathed his blade and turned to walk away back to his cave located several miles outside of rukongai. The former Kenpachi had chosen this location because it had a good flat and wide open area where fair battles could be held giving next to no advantage to any potential fighters. The former captain had gone renegade, tired of the boring and tedious life as a gotei 13 captain, Aizen had been quiet for far too long and he was getting less and less entertaining battles with each passing year. In a thirst for true combat Tatsuya had gone about slaying a large number of shinigami and knew it would only be a matter of time before the Gotei forces were forced to send a worth opponent his way. Now all there was to do was sit and wait for such and opponent to arrive...

Times had Certainly gotten difficult for the Gotei and for Sereitei. Not only had they suffered many loses, More and more were falling by blades they did not need to fall from. Shinigami seemingly were turning on themselves. many were betraying their trusts. Soutaichou had defected, others had left in secret. Even those Gabriel had allowed to gain his trust only disappeared proving he could only rely upon himself and the ideals of what the Gotei Stood for. No betrayals were more Devastating to the Gotei then the disappearances of not only their Soutaichou, but as well the Current Kenpachi. they were looked upon as both the strongest and more feared fighters amongst the Gotei Ranks.

Though the Fallen ones usually fled from the World of Soul Society, there were few who did not see the need to flee out of this world. Even the Soutaichou left the world of the Shinigami, where Sereitei and Rukongai stood. But, word; or more lack there of, gave thought to one who did not flee. Countless Shinigami never responded when sent to specific areas around Rukongai. From occasional solo groups not replying to what was a whole squadron that ended up not giving reply some several Dozen shinigami met their end apparently. Not even those of the 11th or of the Stealth Ops had any different of a result.

In accordance with how thing were going, the New Soutaichou saw fit to send out two taichou to resolve the issue. Both Gabriel and his companion, the Second Division taichou; both took to the job expecting something they would not want to face. Times were hard enough right now, no one; at least in Gabriel's mind, wanted to fight a unnecessary battle. But soon, the two headed out after making a plan where they would separate at a specific point moving on separately to cover more ground on their own. Little did Gabriel know, He had drawn the shorter end of the stick. The Pacifist was about to be pitted again the one who wanted to draw out blood for the sake of the fight.

Some 15 Minutes after their separation, Gabriel came across a corpse of a Shinigami. This was his first chance to have a personal investigation and soon realized that it was for sure a zanpakutou that laid down the Kill blow. In So Gabriel came to realize that the opponent was going to be someone he in fact would have a hard time raising his blade too. Gabriel did find a means inside himself to confront though. with this body Gabriel had a clue that dozens were dead thanks to this person. He only needed that to realize that in the end, slaying this fallen soul was only to be for the better good. As Gabriel stood up, He grabbed the handle of Soul Ripper and drew the blade that was an altered Zanpakutou. That which was within this desolate place void of a Soul, was enough of a threat to warrant the need to silence it for good. In so, Gabriel found the will to see the need to fight.

It was not long before Gabriel Found him way to a recent corpse that had been not dead for more then a few hours. It was a issue that made Gabriel be prepared and alert. His enemy could be anywhere, and whoever they were, they had enough skill to slaughter numerous shinigami. Reacting upon his fighting style instinct, Gabriel gave off a basic pulse of reiatsu. this was not to give away his presence, but was actually a mink-shift way to imitate the man who trained him in a way that made Gabriel what he was to date; Kaname Tousen. It was a Radar style use that allowed Gabriel to know his surroundings best and seek out other reiatsu forms. In but Moments, Gabriel had found his opponent, though his radar did not allow him to discern the reiatsu's power. But, Gabriel his monster was waiting within a cave across the way. Standing up facing the cave he then Said with a loud enough tone to make himself heard, "Come out and surrender. Punishment for your actions must be met whoever you are. its time to return with me to Sereitei and see what the Soutaichou has in-store for you..."

Tatsuya sat deep in the cave meditating in the darkness with his zanpakutou settled in his lap peacefully when suddenly a voice called out and echoed through the cave walls to fall upon Tatsuya's sensitive ears. The beast of a man's eyes opened slowly as he peered through the darkness at the light that seemed very far off from his location so deep inside the cave. Tatsuya took his time and stood reaching his full 8 foot and 3 inches of height as he began a casual walk to the opening of the cave, as he entered the light it was visible that he had brought his arms in through the sleeves of his shihakushou allowing it to fall around his waist while his captains haori was draped around his shoulders, its sleeves also not in use as it fell loosely around him almost like a cape of some sorts. Tamashii Sakebi, Tatsuya's zanpakutou was held sheathed in his left hand in a casual grip as he let his eyes adjust to the sunlight to take in the view of another captain waiting for him. A wicked grin revealed itself and showed off Tatsuya's teeth along with the sharp beast like fangs that accompanied them, "So...They finally send another Taichou after me?" Tatsuya simply spoke that single question before falling silent as he tried to size up just how tough this man was, the title of captain didn't mean shit to Tatsuya right now, he would determine the strangers strength through experience rather then name.

What Gabriel Witnessed was a saddening sight. he expected whoever this slaughterer to be, he had truly hoped it to be some hollow or arrancar. But no, Even such high hopes he knew to be unlikely. it was more plausible for it to be a Soul who is native to Soul Society. But even that worsened to a nightmare as it came to be the Former 11th Taichou and technically current kenpachi, Tatsuya Noboru. Gabriel looked on with a face Null of emotion, though his heart cried in rage to see betrayal to the gotei once more. Gabriel Stood strong though. betrayal and murder were beyond the way a Shinigami should act and behave. The fallen taichou, no matter his position needed to be taken down and brought in; Dead or alive.

Though this man truly had gall. He exited the cave, still wearing the haori of a Taichou, even though He had the nerve to betray the Gotei. Responding to the Fallen taichou's comment, Gabriel raised a Finger and said, "Tatsuya... You have been found at the scene of a grave crime against the innocent souls of Soul Society and against the gotei. You are to surrender and return to the Gotei so that Punishment can be deemed suitable for your murderous actions by the Soutaichou." Spoken with Absolute Seriousness, Gabriel meant every word and had little hope that the fallen kenpachi would seriously be willing to come quietly. but being a pacifist, He felt it necessary to at least try and avoid combat by the blade if feasible. Gabriel's Free hand laid upon Animus ready to be drawn, with the lock already having been unhitched.

((*Cracks his fingers and stretches* Wooooo!!!!! Finally got my own internet, now lets see how rusty 3 months of no rp has made me eh?))

As Gabriel spoke Tatsyuya's eyes flickered like flames in anticipation for the excitement soon to come, however he forced himself to calm down and his wicked grin slowly faded into an almost blank expression with only the slightest of smirks making itself present. Gabriel spoke of punishment however to Tatsuya he had already been serving his punishment by being Taichou, trapped with no battles to really let loose in for so many years had left the Kenpachi's bloodlust in a state of gradual intensification. For too long his true power remained unused and hidden dormant within the depths of his soul. With that being said the Taichou's hand resting upon his blade did not go unnoticed, at the very least it seemed he was prepared to fight and that was good, Tatsuya had no interest in combating someone who second guessed their duty as well as the need to stay on edge for the sake of survival.

"Hmmm...You know, chances are I'll be sentenced to execution..."

Tatsuya's eyes stared endlessly in Gabriels direction, not focused on him or anything in particular but rather open wide taking in everything within view, the Kenpachi's view being optimized in it's use to utilize his peripherals to their fullest while still being able to see whats going on right in front of him. A gust of wind blew by causing Tatsuya's haori to flap and wave as it danced with the breeze, "So why don't you just carry out the punishment yourSELF!" Tatsuya spoke in a normal tone that escalated with each word until he ended his sentence shouting as he stomped his feet and planted them into the earth creating two small craters. A vibrant and thick red reiatsu exploded from Tatsuya's body sending the haori flying away as it rose into the sky in a great pillar that parted some of the local clouds in the area. Tatsuya's hand then slowly moved through the red vortex to grip the hilt of his zanpakutou, the reiatsu fading and dispersing the moment his fingers grasped their target.

With one powerful kick Tatsuya launched himself at Gabriel kicking up a large blast of dust and debris where he was previously standing and leaving behind a now singular large crater. Simultaneously to kicking off Tatsuya drew Tamashii Sakebi from it's sheath which he kept held tightly in his left hand while his right arm arced upwards and then downwards turning his drawing motion into a slash that utilized the full length of his arms. With his massive build the attack would prove to have a great deal of leverage and thanks to the burst of reiatsu previously let loose it would have a large amount of spiritual power behind it as well. Right out of the gate Tatsuya wasn't pulling punches, now was the time to let loose and live!

Re: Gabriel VS Tatsuya! The Captains Clash!

Postby Temptd_light » Mon Mar 22, 2010 9:05 am

The fallen captain was blind beyond repair as it was obvious to Gabriel, though in truth he never would give in to the simplistic tries to manipulate him as Tatsuya was trying. Gabriel was not a Jury, a Judge, or an executioner. He was a servant of the People, a servant of God, a Servant of the Gotei. it was his job to protect and purify; not to slay. Such feeble attempts to lure him into a Violent position were ill thought out if he had hoped to force Gabriel into a fight that would end with either of them dead, or even both.

No, Gabriel was a peacekeeper, and warden against violence when not needed. But it was obvious that the taichou gone renegade had no other intent; but to kill and fight. His purpose in the afterlife as a shinigami was shrouded in lust and rage. he could not see that the divine had other plans for him that he was allowing to go to waste. Proof in it was the Powerful aura of reiatsu that emanated from the man, almost casting a glow that seemed down right near demonic. it was with this outburst, that the kenpachi sealed his fate letting known the world his location, specifically the Gotei. Gabriel merely needed to keep him there long enough.

But Tatsuya did exactly as things were seeming to go. Today Gabriel would have no choice but to fight; though he still planned to not draw from a body it's life still. In confrontation with the beastly kenpachi's movements, Gabriel watched as he kicked off from his stance and made way at him, watching as he did everything and drew out his Zanpakutou, Animus; raising it up in a angled vertical motion designed to have the point angled down from where it was drawn and the handle be the highest point of the weapon. Gabriel had drawn it from his right side, giving this technique, not the best advantageous spot, but enough of a styled use that when the two blades clashed, tatsuya's would more likely run down the blade and slide out of the way of Gabriel.

Though Gabriel was not playing it stupid either. He knew that the taichou was prepared for an assault and in such, He had focused Reiatsu into Animus as he drew it to protect the zanpakutou from the harm that could be caused by such a collision. Though Tatsuya was vastly powerful, Gabriel did not fret over this man's power too much. he knew in the end, Tatsuya would probably out power him but, Gabriel was a Taichou who he himself had been seen as one of the more powerful shinigami. His advantages were that of strength and swordsmanship. Hopefully he could draw out the fight to last long enough, so that Tatsuya's fate could once again, rest at the hands of the Gotei.

Tatsuya grinned as his blade clashed against Gabriel's, Tamashii Sakebi and Animus meeting for the first time as their souls speak to each other, words flying back and forth between them quicker the the sparks that flew off the zanpakutou blades as Tamashii Sakebi ran down the edge of Animus. Small sparks of electricity danced between the collision as the two reiatsu forces met however Tatsuya quickly pulled his blade off of Gabriel's and used his impressive strength to swiftly retract his zanpakutou to the left a short ways in order to slash horizontally at the vertically held defense. This attack was intended to force Gabriel to maintain the guard position and was focused more on speed then power, after all it was merely a tool of sorts which had an even deeper meaning behind occupying the Taichou. If the two blades clashed a second time Tatsuya would mutter, "Hadou no Ichi, Shou!" As he jolted the open end of his sheath in a quick, short thrust in the direction of Gabriel's gut in an attempt to send the Taichou flying backwards with great force due to the hefty chunk of reatsu put into the spell. Assuming Gabriel was indeed sent flying back Tatsuya would then raise his middle and index fingers along with his thumb, off his sheath and aim his hand at his opponent as he brought his zanpakutou back to his side in a casual grip and shouted, "Hadou no Sanjuusan! Soukatsui!" A small orb of blue reiatsu gathered at his hand as he spoke as a large amount of reiatsu was compressed to that point only to explode forth as Tatsuya finished the incantation in the form of a large wave of blue destructive reiatsu aimed right at Gabriel.

Re: Gabriel VS Tatsuya! The Captains Clash!

Gabriel had done exactly as the fallen Kenpachi Tasuya had planned. with the attack, Gabriel went quickly to a defensive manner in order to block the assault. Unlike Tatsuya, He did not have any intention of truly taking this into a realm of offense, as he felt he only needed to buy time for the others to get here, making it an easier task to bring in the taichou gone renegade. But, Like Tatsuya, Gabriel did not plan on just letting thing go as they were. he too was planning the use of Kidou. Though, Gabriel's reaction was slightly slower, not having known that one was to be used against him.

In the second clash of the blades, Gabriel was but a word from declaring the the 9th Bakudou art of Geki. He had hoped with enough power put into it, he would have ended the battle almost instantly with the paralyzing light. But it was not meant to be as he was struck and sent flying with the first Hadou, Sho. It was a powerful spell indeed with the reiatsu poured into it, worth of being seen as Captain class without a moment's hesitation. Gabriel was not out of it though. The art stung at his stomach as it sent him back, but he did not budge a movement outside his dragging heels, which dug up dirt into a small pile behind in.

In fact, he began working on his own defense. Pushed Back, Gabriel took little Notice of the hand movement, though it was not needed. His blade before him, He began to say the name of a Kidou spell himself as He heard the word Hadou, "Bakudou no Sanjuukyuu, Enkosen!" Just barely in the nick of time, Gabriel activated the arc shield bakudou art, which he used to block most of the violent wave of energy that shot right at him. This was a sin to Gabriel that if he wanted to Live, he needed to fight back a bit harder.

With a plume of smoke caused by the clashing kidou spells, gabriel did not waste a moment's time gazing down at the burnt part of his uniform kimono, or at the fact his personalized haori was no damaged. Instead he went on the offense, Bursting forward with a push, into the cloud of smoke saying, Hadou no Sanjuuichi, Shakkaho!" Speaking the name of the thirty-first hadou art as he exited the plume, His free hand aiming the shot to strike right at his chest, his blade, Lined to thrust straight into his stomach. The hadou was to be little more then a distraction, and probably would have little effect, but Gabriel already had other ideas in mind so that he could fight and defend without opening much room to hit him.

(No worries. I will begin taking this a bit more serious as time goes. You know I like to keep it to character. My defensive skills rival Yuki, Maybe even surpass her.)

As Tatsuya watched his foe burst from the smoke to cast another spell, it was the 31st hadou and Tatsuya couldn't see behind it so he made sure to keep his peripherals clear in case a flank was attempted, "Shep blood for the sacrifice...Tamashii Sakebii!" Tatsuya called out as he flipped his grip on the sheath and both the scabbard and blade of his weapon were wrapped in torrents of blood. The blood would clear just in time to show Tatsuya's crimson shikai in all it's splendor as he rose the crimson hilt in his left hand and a blade of blood burst forth forming into a short sword. Tatsuya used it's special ability and dispelled Gabriel's hadou a short second before impact revealing his assault that was hidden behind it. Tatsuya's grin would widen even further as he would try to side step to the dull side of Gabriel's weapon while attempting to dash forwards and past him. During this motion Tatsuya would hold out his blood blade so that it hopefully splashed against it and made droplets of blood disperse into the air around Gabriel.

To run close behind a hadou was a task that required great speed and would likely make it hard to stop on a dime, Tatsuya was betting on Gabriel's inability to maneuver and if all went well he would mutter, "1st Ritual, Crimson Rain..." making the droplets that hopefully ended up surrounding Gabriel turn into 8 foot long blood spears that would aim for his joints and then grow 1 inch thorns.

(Sorry for the wait, and i know this will be disappointing. But one must stay in character...)

Gabriel did not stay close long enough to see the full range of abilities of Tatsuya's Shikai though. For in truth, he already had a seed of worry building as he heard the release phrase, only to then have the exacerbating effect after watching his kidou's disspellment. Such things did not leave Gabriel in too fine a condition with clashing with such a release up front with his knowledge of it being so unknown. So, as Gabriel had went to strike, and saw Tatsuya going to block, his mind worried and the worry continued to compound, causing Gabriel to react with speed in order to escape. But a moment before the blades would have clashed, Gabriel had used Shunshin, flash step, to move away from the strike, giving himself a good fifteen feet of distance from Tatsuya, still remaining before him and not having tried to circumvent him.

" So you released against a fellow Taichou. You truly have fallen haven't you Kenpachi..." Gabriel had wanted to ask about the zanpakutou's ability, but knew it to be meaningless to carry on banter even though he had initiated a comment just at this moment in time. Besides, it would have been unlikely that a person would just divulge the information, when one can more easily learn it in conflict. Gabriel had no choice but to learn it's effects on his own.

Knowing that his kidou was nullified in some manner, Gabriel believed the blade to be reiatsu based in affinity. That was to him a logical outlook. But still, even an assumption needed verification. Gabriel was going to do something which he never liked to do, and which to him was the option of those who lacked a trump card in truth. Using Shunshin again, Gabriel circled around Tatsuya, testing him with the used of the 4th hadou, nameless and incantationless as he then directed a series of a half dozen bolts towards tatsuya from varied directions of the taichou gone rouge. Behind, the sides, front and diagonal attacks. Each designed to see how he would react, Timed so that he could block them all reasonably for his skill level. Gabriel knew he would not harm him in any likelihood.
